BATON ROUGE, Louisiana—DOW FCU here has officially changed its name to Essential FCU, and at the same time announced it will pay its first-ever bonus dividend.
The credit union has returned $250,000 to members, with payouts based on length of membership and deposit relationship with the credit union. The $249-million EFCU has 24,000 members and began its life in 1972 to serve employees of Dow Chemical.
