WASHINGTON—The Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection met here for the first time with its reconstituted advisory boards, including a group of credit union representatives.
Members of the Credit Union Advisory Council, Consumer Advisory Board, Community Bank Advisory Council all met for discussions and to advise Bureau leadership on a broad range of consumer financial issues and emerging market trends.
All three Councils are mandated by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act and are charged with advising and consulting with the Bureau’s director on a variety of issues, including advising and assessing the impact of emerging products, practices, or services on consumers and other market participants.
