New CEOs In New Hampshire, Texas, Arkansas

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. —The $2.9-billion Service Credit Union has formally named David Van Rossum as its president/CEO.

Van Rossum has been serving as interim president/CEO since February.

“As a demonstrated strategic executive leader, we have seen firsthand how capable and qualified David Van Rossum is to take on the pivotal role of president/CEO. I know I can speak for the entire board of directors when I say that the future of the credit union and the needs of our members are in good hands with David as our CEO,” said David Hanchett, Service CU’s chairman, in a statement.

Van Rossum has previously served as chief administration officer at Service Credit Union, operating as a liaison between the credit union and the areas it served. He joined the credit union in 2015 as Service’s CAO.

“I am honored and humbled to be given this opportunity. I have cherished the time I have spent at Service and look forward to what the future brings,” Van Rossum said in a statement.

The credit union has 225,000 members.

In Houston, meanwhile, Kevin Scott has been named as the CEO of the $70-million Las Colinas Federal Credit Union. Scott was previously the chief operations officer at Institution Solutions, LLC in Richardson, Texas, where he was responsible for executive leadership and management of Institution Solutions and Alloy Insurance, as well as coordinating product selection, marketing, financial reporting, strategic direction, operations, insurance agency management, and credit union service organization (CUSO) relationships.

Prior to working at Institution Solutions LLC, Scott was the chief operations officer at Texoma Community Credit Union in Wichita Falls, Texas. He has more than 25 years’ experience in operations and management, including 10 in credit unions.

And in Fort Smith, Ark., Meredith Anderson has been named as the president/CEO of $14-million River Town CU. Anderson previously oversaw member services for the credit union.

The executive search for both credit unions was conducted by Credit Union Resources
