IDAHO FALLS, Idaho–Credit unions in Idaho and Louisiana have named new CEOs.
At East Idaho Credit Union here, Dan Thurman has been named to lead the $265 million CU, which has more than 36,000 members.
Thurman has been with the credit union since 2002. Prior to his appointment, he served as East Idaho’s chief lending officer and chief operating officer.

East Idaho Credit Union is one of the oldest credit unions in the state and we intend on being your trusted financial partner for many years to come.”
Thurman currently also serves on the Northwest Credit Union’s League Governmental Affairs Committee.
Meanwhile, in Metairie, La., Rafael Rondon has been named the new CEO of the $147-million Xplore FCU. Rondon was previously with Dade County FCU in Miami, where he was VP-sales and operations and, prior to that director of sales and operations. Before his time with Dade County FCU, Rondon also spent eight years with Wells Fargo Bank, initially serving as branch manager, then regional supervisor and eventually market support consultant.
“It is an honor to accept the role of chief executive officer of Xplore Federal Credit Union,” said Rondon. “The credit union has a great opportunity for success and I am looking forward to leading its continued growth and development.”
The credit union has 9,800 members.
