OMAHA, Neb.–First Nebraska Educators Credit Union has announced both a tweak to its name and a revised charter.
First Nebraska Educators has dropped the Educators from its name and will now be known as First Nebraska Credit Union. In addition, it has expanded its field of membership to include those who live, work, worship or attends school in Cass, Dodge, Douglas, Lancaster, Sarpy, Saunders, Washington and Pottawattamie counties in the state.
The credit union said in a statement it remains committed to serving its core membership of educators and healthcare providers.
"The new charter allows us to be more inclusive,” said CEO Ann Loftis in a statement. “Expanded membership provides increased benefits for current and new members – creating a win for both groups and individuals."
