SOMERVILLE, Mass.–Naveo Credit Union has named a new president and CEO.
The $156-million Naveo has selected Andrea J. White to lead the organization, becoming the first female CEO in Naveo’s history and succeeding Ruie F. Domingos, the credit union’s long-time CEO who resigned earlier this year to become CEO of MIT Federal Credit Union in Cambridge, Mass.
Albert Pinho had been serving as interim CEO for the past six months.
White joins Naveo after serving as Senior Vice President of Community Banking at Freedom National Bank in Rhode Island. Prior to joining Freedom National Bank, she was a member of the executive leadership team at Commonwealth National Bank in Worcester.
“With an expansive banking background, White is an accomplished professional who brings extensive leadership experience with a commitment to a collaborative work environment and community engagement,” the credit union said. “White excels in planning and executing growth strategies designed to meet the changing needs of a diverse member community.”
White holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and Marketing from North Adams State College and earned her MBA from Nichols College. She is also a Senior Certified Professional with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP).
‘Nothing More Rewarding’
“I am thrilled to work with Naveo’s talented team and to immerse myself in the mission of the credit union,” said White. “There is nothing more rewarding than helping to make a positive impact on people’s lives. I look forward to leading an organization that exemplifies those values every day.”
Naveo CU has approximately 7,500 members.
