National Winners of Dora Maxwell, Louise Herring, Desjardins Awards Are Announced by CUNA

WASHINGTON–CUNA has announced the national winners of its Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award, the Louise Herring Philosophy-in-Action Member Service Award, and the Desjardins Awards for Financial Education.

The national winners were selected from among the state winners selected earlier by the respective state leagues.

Dora Maxwell Awards

First place winners of the Dora Maxwell Award, which honors credit unions for outstanding social responsibility projects in their communities, include:

  • University Federal Credit Union (North Dakota)
  • Calhoun-Liberty Employees CU (Florida)
  • First Commerce Credit Union (Florida)
  • Dade County Federal Credit Union (Florida)

Louise Herring Awards

First place winners of the Louise Herring Award, which recognizes credit unions that demonstrate the internal application of credit union philosophy to help better financial matters and increase financial education for its members, include:

  • One Detroit Credit Union (Michigan)
  • Community Credit Union (Maine)
  • Florida State University Credit Union (Florida)
  • Patelco Credit Union (California)

Desjardins Awards

First place winners of the Desjardins Awards, which honors credit unions, chapters, and leagues for their commitment to both youth and adult financial literacy, include:

Desjardins Youth

  • St. Tammany Federal Credit Union (Louisiana)
  • Community Credit Union (Maine)
  • Clackamas Federal Credit Union (Oregon)
  • Travis Credit Union (California)

Desjardins League

  • Maine Credit Union League (Maine)

Desjardins Adult

  • East River Federal Credit Union (South Dakota)
  • Community Credit Union (Maine)
  • Financial Center First Credit Union (Indiana)
  • Delta Community Credit Union (Georgia)
