MADISON, Wis. – The National Credit Union Foundation has named Hannibal Brumskine II as its new chief financial and operations officer (CFOO).
The Foundation said that as CFOO Brumskine will provide executive leadership to the financial and administrative functions of the Foundation, which will include directing all aspects of the Foundation’s day-to-day financial operations, managing the organization's fiscal functions, budgeting, financial analysis and reporting and ensuring its compliance with all regulatory requirements. He will also be responsible for directing the Foundation’s investment strategy. He will report directly to Executive Director Gigi Hyland.
Before coming to the Foundation, Brumskine served as the controller/director of Global Treasury at Pact in Washington, an international development non-governmental organization, where he was responsible for the general accounting, global treasury, external financial reporting, managing the annual financial audit, and staff development.
In addition to his work at Pact, Brumskine has served at executive levels with various nonprofits in the philanthropic space, including Greater Washington Area Public Television (WETA and News Hour Productions LLC) as corporate controller, Goodwill of Greater Washington as the senior director of finance and compliance, and Special Olympics, Inc. as the vice president of finance. He is a Virginia licensed Certified Public Accountant and also received an Executive Leadership Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University.
