MADISON, Wis.–Following a meeting here, the National Credit Union Foundation has announced changes to its board membership.
Recently named to the board are Robert Cashman, president/CEO at Metro Credit Union in Chelsea, Mass.; Timothy Kovac, vice president & associate general counsel, business compliance & regulatory leader for legal operations at CUNA Mutual Group in Madison, Wis.; Samantha Paxson, EVP & chief marketing and experience officer at CO-OP Financial Services in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; and Brett Thompson, president/CEO at the Wisconsin Credit Union League in Madison.
Cashman was elected to the board seat recently vacated by Laida Garcia, President/CEO of floridacentral Credit Union in Tampa, Fla.; Kovac was elected to the board seat recently vacated by Christopher Roe, SVP of corporate & legislative affairs at CUNA Mutual Group; Paxson fills the seat that Sarah Bang, EVP of Industry Relations at CO-OP Financial Services held before retiring last year; and Thompson was elected to the board seat recently vacated by Patrick La Pine, president/CEO of the League of Southeastern Credit Unions in Tallahassee, Fla.
Also, at the board meeting, the following were re-elected:
- Bill Cheney, president and CEO of SchoolsFirst FCU in Santa Ana, Calif.
- David Mooney, president and CEO of Alliant Credit Union in Chicago
- John Sackett, board treasurer at Royal Credit Union in Eau Claire, Wis.
