SAN ANTONIO – The National Youth Involvement Board (NYIB) has named two new regional coordinators, re-elected one regional coordinator, and elected a new chairman as part of its annual meeting here.
Mandy Clayton, director of Financial Education for FivePoint Credit Union in Nederland, Texas, has been elected as NYIB chairman for 2016-17. Clayton has more than 13 years of experience in the credit union industry and has been an active member of the National Youth Involvement Board since 2009.
NYIB regional coordinators elected to a two-year term are:
- South West – Danielle Silva, Youth Membership Development Representative, U.S. Eagle Federal Credit Union in Albuquerque, N.M.
- South Central – Tabatha Thurman, Financial Education Specialist, WEOKIE Credit Union in Oklahoma City, Okla.
NYIB regional coordinator re-elected to a second two-year term is:
- South East – Kelli Holloway, Member Education and Outreach Manager, State Employees’ Credit Union in Raleigh, N.C.
Continuing the second year of their existing terms are:
- North West – Shannon Cahoon, Fibre FCU in Longview, Wash.
- North Central – Jeremy Cybulski, Community Financial Credit Union in Plymouth, Mich.
- North East – Leah Sprowl, America’s Credit Union Museum in Rochester, N.H.
The executive committee elected Cybulski as vice chairman, Cahoon as secretary, and Sprowl as treasurer. The NYIB also elected to continue with a “Young Professional” ex-officio seat on the executive committee which has been filled by Heather Mourhourtis from Community First Credit Union in Jacksonville, FL.
