She served as the auction’s “Miracle Child.”

SEATAC, Wash. — More than $300,000 was raised by credit unions in the Northwest to support their six Northwest Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals during the Hollywood Glamour Auction during the Northwest Credit Union Association’s annual MAXX Convention here.

Luxurious travel opportunities, jerseys signed by sports superstars, and dinner with Seahawks Hall of Famer Steve Largent were among items driving the bidding. “But toy-filled red wagons designated for each of the hospitals raised the roof,” the NWCUA reported. “The red wagons are a Credit Unions for Kids tradition and have been used to comfort children on their way to and from procedures while hospitalized.

Hospitals benefitting include:

Seattle Children’s Hospital, OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital (Portland, Ore.), Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (Medford, Ore.), Peacehealth Sacred Heart Medical Center (Springfield, Ore.), Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital (Spokane, Wash.), and Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

NWCUA Chief Operating Officer Denise Gabel announced the 2017 theme of the Credit Unions for Kids Auction will be “Kentucky Derby.”
