WASHINGTON–The National Credit Union Foundation announced its popular Development Education (DE) program will move to a virtual environment for the remainder of 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.
“Our priority is to ensure the health and safety of our participants,” the Foundation said. “Considering our current circumstances, we cannot guarantee this.”
In response, the Foundation said it will be introducing a new virtual learning environment for the DE Program.
According to the Foundation, each DE Program held in a virtual setting will be limited to 60 individuals.
“We are prioritizing the registration of those who were previously registered for 2020 DE Programs,” the Foundation said. “We will make any remaining seats available to the public.”
Those interested in transferring their existing 2020 registration to a virtual session are being urged to contact Maggie Wolff at mwolff@ncuf.coop.
Registration for both 2020 virtual sessions will be available on August 12 at 11:00 a.m. CT.
