NCUA to Co-Host Webinar Today on CRE-Related Policy Statement

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — NCUA is joining with three other regulatory agencies today to co-host an “Ask the Regulators” webinar to explain the revisions and additions to the policy statement, Policy Statement on Prudent Commercial Real Estate Loan Accommodations and Workouts.

The statement was issued on June 20, 2023.

The webinar will run from 2-3:30 p.m. ET, and will also include the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Reserve, and FDIC.

“During the webinar, staff of the agencies will review best practices for managing deteriorating and problem commercial real estate loans and workout arrangements, describe how supervisors assess the management of commercial real estate loan accommodations and workouts, and review supervisory expectations for valuations,” the agencies said.

The webinar will include a Q&A session. Participants are encouraged to submit questions in advance via email at asktheregulators@stls.frb.org. Panelists will give priority to questions received by August 18.
