ALEXANDRIA, Va.—NCUA is hosting a webinar Feb. 28 to help credit unions learn more about the new reporting requirements under the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act and recent rule changes for prepaid accounts.
The free event begins at 2 p.m. ET.
The 90-minute webinar will begin with staff from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau discussing the requirements, implementation dates and which credit unions are now covered under HMDA. In the second half of the webinar, NCUA staff with the Division of Consumer Compliance Policy and Outreach will outline the important provisions for the recently approved prepaid account rule, which credit unions have to comply with beginning Oct. 1.

In advance of the webinar, questions can be submitted to compliancemail@ncua.gov. The subject line of the email should read, “HMDA, Prepaid Accounts Webinar.” All HMDA-related questions for the CFPB must be submitted in advance before Wednesday, Feb. 1, and will be addressed during the webinar, NCUA said.
