WAYCROSS, Ga.–– Community United Federal Credit Union here has been put into conservatorship by NCUA. The 4,800-member CU had $23-million in assets, and the agency said member services will continue uninterrupted at its office, where regular hours are being kept.
In a statement, NCUA said it placed Community United Federal Credit Union into conservatorship to allow the credit union to continue regular operations with experienced management in place and to correct operational weaknesses. While continuing normal member services, NCUA said it will work to resolve issues affecting the credit union’s safety and soundness.
The credit union was chartered in 1966.
