TALLAHASSEE, Fla.–Florida Conference AME Church FCU here has been liquidated by NCUA, with Pensacola, Fla.-based Gulf Winds FCU assuming the members and deposits.
The $626-million Gulf Winds has 59,012 members. The $1.7-million Florida Conference AME Church FCU had just 560 members.
NCUA said it liquidated FCACFCU and discontinued its operations after determining the credit union was insolvent and had no prospect for restoring viable operations.
Members should see no interruption in operations, according to the agency.
