ALEXANDRIA, Va.– NCUA has issued a new prohibition order, permanently prohibiting the individual from ever again participating in the affairs of any federally insured depository institution.
Issued the prohibition order was Kaitlin Kastet, a former employee of Citizens Credit Union, and First Community Credit Union in Jamestown, N.D.
In December 2021, Kastet was also issued a final order of suspension or removal by the North Dakota Department of Financial Institutions, which said in its order Kastet has committed acts of “commission, or omission, or practice which is a breach of trust or breach of fiduciary duty.”
According to the North Dakota order, Kastet pleaded guilty to theft of property, a Class C felony.
Generally, the NCUA issues administrative orders when it finds that a credit union — or persons affiliated with a credit union — have violated a law, rule, or regulation; breached a fiduciary duty; or engaged in an unsafe or unsound practice, the agency said.
