ALEXANDRIA, Va.–NCUA will join with the FDIC to host a webinar on account access that targets younger people.
The webinar, set for April 27, is titled “Account Access and Financial Education for Youth Participating in Employment Programs,” and is being held in conjunction with National Financial Capability Month.
It will begin at 1:30 p.m. ET and run for about 90 minutes, according to NCUA.
The agencies said speakers from financial institutions and youth workforce programs will discuss the challenges of youth account access and how, in partnership, they overcame barriers to help youth open accounts. The FDIC added that attendees will learn how to foster partnerships between banks/credit unions and workforce programs to help young workers open federally insured accounts.
