ALEXANDRIA, Va.—NCUA was encouraged to promote “responsible innovation” during a recent meeting with America’s Credit Unions.
The meeting included America’s Credit Unions’ Madison Rose and Andrew Morris, who met with NCUA Director of Financial Technology and Access Charles Vice. The agency says the office is designed to identify barriers, challenges, and opportunities for credit unions in adopting and using technology.
According to the trade group, Rose and Morris discussed how the office can engage with credit unions to encourage innovation, and it has joined with NACUSO in requesting NCUA provide additional flexibility “to engage with and invest in innovative technology solutions and fintech companies.”
