NCUA, Census Bureau to Co-Host Webinar on Using Census-Based Data Tools

ALEXANDRIA, Va.–NCUA and the Census Bureau said they will co-host a webinar on April 25 on census-based data tools available at no cost.

Online registration for this webinar, “Free Data Tools and Resources Available to Credit Unions,” is now open. The webinar is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Eastern and is expected to run one hour.

Adam Grundy, supervisory statistician with the U.S. Census Bureau, will review two useful tools and demonstrate their use:

  • The Census Business Builder, a suite of services providing demographic and economic data
  • My Community Explorer, which offers a combination of demographic, business, and community resilience data to help credit unions identify potential underserved areas.

About the Webinar

The webinar will be closed captioned, and there is no charge. Participants will be able to log in and view the event on their computers or mobile devices using the registration link. They should also allow pop-ups from this website.

Participants are encouraged to submit questions in advance by emailing WebinarQuestions@ncua.gov. The email’s subject line should read, “Census Data Tools.” Please email technical questions about accessing the webinar to either uccwebinar@ncua.gov or uccsupport@ncua.gov.
