NCUA Bans Five People From Credit Unions

ALEXANDRIA, Va.--NCUA issued one conviction-based prohibition and four consent-based prohibitions in May, the agency reported.

The individuals named below are permanently prohibited from participating in the affairs of any federally insured depository institution:

Notice of Prohibition:

Alan Kaufman, former employee of Melrose Credit Union, Briarwood, N.Y., was convicted and sentenced in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York with two counts of Receipt of Commissions or Gifts for Procuring Loans, 18 U.S.C. § 215(a)(2). 

Orders of Prohibition:

Aaron Steele, former employee of The Police Federal Credit Union, San Bruno, Calif., agreed and consented to the issuance of a prohibition order and agreed to comply with all its terms to settle and resolve the NCUA board’s claims against him. 

Marilyn Sullins, former employee of Aldersgate Federal Credit Union, Marion, Ill., agreed and consented to the issuance of a prohibition order and agreed to comply with all its terms to settle and resolve the NCUA board’s claims against her.

Melissa Biscayno, former employee of Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union, Seattle, agreed and consented to the issuance of a prohibition order and agreed to comply with all its terms to settle and resolve the NCUA board’s claims against her. 

Christopher Chelette, former employee of Valex Federal Credit Union, Alexandria, La., agreed and consented to the issuance of a prohibition order and agreed to comply with all its terms to settle and resolve the NCUA board’s claims against him.
