ALEXANDRIA, Va.–NCUA’s new chairman has made some changes in the agency’s top leadership.
NCUA Chairman Rodney Hood has named Owen Cole as his new chief of staff. Cole had previously served as the associate director for policy and markets in the agency’s Office of Examination and Insurance.
Cole has also earlier served as president of NCUA’s Central Liquidity Facility and as the agency’s deputy executive director. He has been with NCUA since 1993.
Other changes at NCUA include Sarah Vega, who had previously been chief of staff under former chairman J. Mark McWatters, is now serving as a chief advisor to both Hood and McWatters.
Vega had earlier also served as chief of staff and senior advisor to former NCUA board member and chairman Michael Fryzel. She is a former director of the Illinois Department of Financial Institutions.
Michael Radway, who served as policy advisor to former board member Rick Metsger, has stepped into the same role for new NCUA Board Member Todd Harper. Prior to joining NCUA, Radway served for 22 years as legislative director for members of the House Financial Services Committee, and helped to pass the Credit Union Membership Access
