#NAFCUNation Social Media Campaign Makes its Debut

ARLINGTON, Va.—NAFCU has announced a new digital and social media campaign#NAFCUNation, which it said is intended to “elevate the credit union industry and tout its efforts to serve millions of Americans and support local communities.”

According to the trade group, through #NAFCUNation member credit unions are being encouraged to share stories to help the association amplify its ongoing advocacy with federal lawmakers and regulators, conversations with the press, and public outreach.

NAFCU said credit unions can visit the #NAFCUNation page on the association’s website, and use #NAFCUNation when posting on social media, to submit stories covering topics such as:

  • Small business lending and helping Main Streets throughout America thrive
  • Helping members achieve financial freedom and reach milestones like buying a first home or saving for retirement
  • Volunteering in the community and offering financial education resources
  • Launching new products or services to better serve members

“Video testimonials can be recorded directly on the #NAFCUNation page to further enhance credit union stories, and photo uploads are encouraged, as well,” NAFCU stated.
