NAFCU’s Congressional Caucus Kicks Off In DC

WASHINGTON–Credit unions will be out in force in Washington this week as NAFCU kicks off its annual Congressional Caucus.

The meeting runs through mid-day on Wednesday, with Capitol Hill visits scheduled for the afternoons of both Tuesday and Wednesday.

Among those scheduled to speak:

  • NCUA Board Chairman Rick Metsger
  • Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Richard Cordray.
  • Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC), chief deputy majority whip in the U.S. House of Representatives and vice chairman of the House Financial Services Committee.
  • Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI), chairman of the House Financial Services Committee
  • Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-MO), member of the House Financial Services Committee and the House Small Business Committee
  • Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX), chairman of the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee
  • Rep. Sandy Levin (D-MI), the House Ways and Means Committee’s ranking member
  • Jamal El-Hindi, FinCEN’s acting director
  • Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA), member of the House Financial Services Committee
  • Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-IN), member of the Senate Banking Committee
  • Texas senator and presidential candidate Ted Cruz

Nationally syndicated columnist, author and television commentator S.E. Cupp will present the Caucus keynote address this morning.
