WASHINGTON—NAFCU Senior Regulatory Affairs Counsel Michael Emancipator and Regulatory Affairs Counsel Ann Kossachev recently met with the Small Business Administration's William Manger and his staff to discuss SBA guaranteed loans and other issues.
Following Manger's recent testimony before the House Small Business Committee, NAFCU provided data on credit union business lending. The meeting also covered the administration's progress in streamlining standard operating procedures and the underwriting process.
NAFCU staff emphasized the association's support for the SBA 7(a) and 504 programs, which echoed testimony from NAFCU witness and Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union Executive Vice President Sonya McDonald before a House Small Business subcommittee in March.
NAFCU said it continues to encourage its members to consider the benefits of SBA loan programs, which can help credit unions increase their member business lending.
