NAFCU Regulatory Compliance Seminar Set For November

ARLINGTON, Va.–NAFCU will be hosting its Regulatory Compliance Seminar in San Antonio from Nov. 3-6 at the Hilton Palacio del Rio.

“NAFCU’s Regulatory Compliance Seminar is the best opportunity for current NAFCU Certified Compliance Officers to earn the recertification credits they need to renew their designations,” NAFCU said. “By attending the seminar, NCCOs can earn all 24 continuing education units needed to recertify without having to retake the exams.”

JiJi Bahhur, NAFCU’s director of regulatory compliance and NCCO, said the seminar will educate credit union compliance professionals about new and upcoming regulations so they can keep their institutions on top of federal compliance requirements and avoid problems at exam time.

Topics addressed in the Seminar’s curriculum include updates on NCUA’s current risk-based capital proposal and its exam modernization process, CFPB’s Truth in Lending Act and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (TILA/RESPA) integrated mortgage disclosures rule (slated to take effect Oct. 3), Servicemembers Civil Relief Act requirements, account fraud, data security and cybersecurity issues and more.

The early bird deadline to save $100 off the conference registration fee is Sept. 11.  For info:  www.nafcu.org/seminar.
