ARLINGTON, Va.—NAFCU has promoted Alicia Nealon to director of regulatory affairs from regulatory affairs counsel.
“Alicia has been extremely helpful in making sure our members’ interests are well represented before NCUA, CFPB and other federal agencies having an impact on credit unions,” said NAFCU Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and General Counsel Carrie Hunt. “I can’t think of a better leader fitted to guide our association’s regulatory affairs team than Alicia.”
As head of NAFCU’s regulatory affairs division, Nealon will serve as staff liaison to federal regulatory agencies; assist in handling the development and implementation of the association’s regulatory policies; and conduct analysis, interpretation and explanation of policy issues having an impact on NAFCU’s members.
Prior to joining NAFCU, Nealon worked in the Office of General Counsel at the National Credit Union Administration.
