ARLINGTON, Va. – NAFCU will kick off its first-ever virtual Congressional Caucus today, featuring a number of Capitol Hill leaders along with a keynote from former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
The two-day event, like so many others, had been scheduled as an in-person event but had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Today’s speakers for Caucus, which will run from 1-5 p.m., will include, in addition to Rice, NAFCU President/CEO Dan Berger, Sen. Mike Crapo, chairman of the Senate Banking Committee; Brian Montgomery, deputy director of the Department of Housing and Urban Development; Sen. Sherrod Brown, ranking member on the Senate Banking Committee; Michael Mosier, deputy director of FinCEN; a “Fireside Chat” with CFPB Director Kathy Kraninger, and FHFA Director Mark Calabria.
On Tuesday, when the meeting will also run from 1-5 p.m., speakers will include NCUA Chairman Rodney Hood; Rep. Patrick McHenry, the ranking member of the House Financial Services Committee; Jovita Carranza, administrator of the Small Business Administration; a “Problem Solvers” Caucus panel; Tucker Foote, Mastercard’s SVP-public policy and head of North America Government Affairs & Global Trade; NCUA Board Member Todd Harper, and Larry Sabato, founder and director of the University of Virginia Center for Politics, bestselling author and election analyst.
