NAFCU Kicks Off 2015 Regulatory Compliance Seminar

SAN ANTONIO—NAFCU’s 2015 Regulatory Compliance Seminar kicked off Tuesday with more than 250 credit union professionals attending from across the country.

The conference runs through Friday, Nov. 6.

“With regulations continuing to come down the pike, it is essential that credit unions get a solid understanding of all the latest information,” said Brandy Bruyere, NAFCU’s director of regulatory compliance, and a NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO). “This event will provide credit unions’ regulatory compliance teams with an in-depth overview of pending and final rules to help them navigate the compliance challenges ahead.”

In addition to Bruyere, attendees will hear from other members of NAFCU’s industry-recognized regulatory compliance team, including Executive Vice President and COO Anthony Demangone, NCCO; Director of Regulatory Affairs Alicia Nealon; Regulatory Affairs Counsel Alexander Monterrubio; and Director of Education Devon Lyon, NCCO.

Key seminar topics include NCUA’s final risk-based capital rule and field-of-membership trends, the recent implementation of the CFPB’s Truth in Lending Act and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (TILA/RESPA) integrated mortgage disclosures rule, overdraft protection, protecting credit union data and more.
