NAFCU Annual Meeting Coverage: PAC Fundraisers Recognized (One Isn’t a Surprise)

HONOLULU–During its 50th annual meeting here NAFCU honored individuals and credit unions for their achievements in political advocacy.
Recognized with NAFCU PAC Credit Union Challenge Awards were:

In the asset category to $250 million: Central Virginia Credit Union, Lynchburg, Va.

In the asset category $250-$750 million: Gulf Winds FCU, Pensacola, Fla.

In the asset category $750-million plus: Visions FCU.

Winner of the Challenge Award, which goes to the person who contributed the most to NAFCU/PAC in the previous year: Ty Muse, president, Visions FCU. “In addition to his direct contribution, Muse helped lead his credit union to the Challenge victory through his support of Visions FCU staff and by impressing upon them the importance of individual award,” said NAFCU.

And for the 13th year in a row, winner of its highest award for most funds raised, the NAFCU White Hat Award was Members 1st Credit Union in Mechanicsburg, Penn., and its CEO, Bob Marquette.

“These winners have worked tirelessly to ensure the credit union industry maintains an effective, strong voice before Congress,” said NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger. “We are delighted to recognize the achievements of these dedicated credit unions and industry professionals.”
