NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.–The National Association of CUSOs (NACUSO) said it will once again host its Next Big Idea Competition this year but with two firsts: it will be held in a virtual format and prize money will be offered.
The competition, based on the TV show Shark Tank, is now in its eighth year and will offer $7,500 for first place, and $2,500 for second place, courtesy of CO-OP Financial Services.
“We will be giving all of the previously accepted applicants a chance to compete in a virtual playoff competition,” NACUSO said. “The event will be set-up similar to a March Madness college basketball playoff competition. We are calling it the NACUSO NBI Playoffs! To win and move on to the next round, you will decide after hearing each of their brief presentations.”
The dates for the various rounds of competition are:
- Round One: October 13th at 11:00 a.m. PDT
- Round Two: October 20th at 11:00 a.m. PDT
- Final Round: October 27th at 11:00 a.m. PDT
NACUSO said it will be releasing additional information in the near future.
