LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla.--The National Association of Credit Union Service Organizations (NACUSO) announced the winners of the 2026 CUSO of the Year Awards during its Reimagine Conference at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts here.
These awards recognize Credit Union Service Organizations that demonstrate extraordinary innovation, collaboration, and impact in advancing the credit union movement.
2026 CUSO of the Year: Members Trust Company
Members Trust Company won this year’s prestigious award because they are the first nationally chartered trust and investment management company, completely owned by credit unions, NACUSO said.
"We are incredibly honored to be named CUSO of the Year. This award is a testament to our expertise and commitment to helping credit unions and individual investors SHINE, and, most of all, the talent and commitment of the Members Trust team,” said Ken Lako, President & CEO, of Members Trust Company.
2026 New CUSO of the Year: Storyfi
"As one of the movement's newest CUSOs, Storyfi earned this recognition by doing something the financial services industry rarely does well: telling stories that actually move people. Through strategic video production, content creation, and marketing communications, Storyfi gives credit unions and CUSOs the creative firepower to cut through the noise—turning member milestones, community impact, and mission-driven values into compelling content that drives real engagement and lasting brand loyalty," NACUSO said.
"Being named New CUSO of the Year is an honor we share with every credit union and CUSO partner who trusted us with their story. It reflects what we've believed from the start—that credit unions are sitting on some of the most powerful, human stories in financial services. They just need the right creative partner to help them tell it. We built Storyfi to give credit unions a content engine purpose-built for the movement," said Nick Olexa, CEO of Storyfi.
2026 Fintech CUSO of the Year: Trust & Will
"Created this year, Trust & Will won this new award because it created an intelligent online estate planning platform built to evolve, protecting loved ones today, tomorrow, and beyond," NACUSO said.
"Being named the first-ever Fintech CUSO of the Year highlights the alignment of our mission with credit unions' people helping people philosophy. Estate planning is about protecting the people you love and making sure your wishes are understood and honored. This award reflects the work Trust & Will does to make that possible for more families, and we are proud to stand alongside the credit union community in that mission," said Cody Barbo, Co-founder and CEO, Trust & Will.
“The CUSO of the Year Awards remind us of what makes Credit Union Service Organizations so powerful—real collaboration, purposeful innovation, and a deep commitment to serving credit unions and their members,” said Randy Salser, president/CEO of NACUSO. “Members Trust Company, Stroyfi, and Trust & Will are all incredible examples of what’s possible when CUSOs lead with intention and impact. They move the industry forward.”
