CHARLOTTE, N.C.–Virtual StrongBox, Inc. has launched its newest release of My Virtual StrongBox, providing financial institutions a host of automated file exchange and secure storage services.
With patented “encrypted-at-rest” document storage, secure forms, push and pull file exchange and e-signature capabilities, the company said that Virtual StrongBox stands alone in helping credit unions automate processes, reduce manual intervention, enhance member services and offer significant cost reductions.
The company has also released a new white paper on “Using Online Safe Deposit Box to Transfer Sensitive Documents.” The white paper can be found in CUToday.info’s Free Vault here.
Known for protecting financial data the “financial institution way,” Virtual StrongBox’s new features allow credit unions and members to safely exchange documents with each other through the secure file exchange or individually created hyperlinks. Members also can share files with outside service providers, such as tax preparers or attorneys. Relying on e-mail, scan or fax to send sensitive papers back and forth leaves documents unprotected at their destination. But documents a member keeps in his individual, online “StrongBox” never leaves the protection of Virtual StrongBox’s servers, where they remain encrypted.
Credit unions can place My Virtual StrongBox behind online banking or on their websites, using mobile multifactor authentication, the company said.
