My Credit Union Completes Merger Into San Francisco FCU

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.–My Credit Union is reporting it has completed its merger into San Francisco FCU.

The 2,000 members of the $37-million My Credit have now joined SFFCU’s 47,000 members, while the former My Credit Union branch at 510 Veteran’s Blvd. is now a San Francisco FCU branch.

My Credit Union was chartered in 1963 to serve San Mateo County and serves San Francisco County.

“Our members overwhelmingly supported this merger with San Francisco Federal Credit Union because we share the same values and place the same strong emphasis on member service,” said My Credit Union ‘s President Alex Casillas. “This merger provides our members with new products and benefits, and it increases their access to a wider branch network.”

The $1.3-billion San Francisco FCU was established in 1954, has $1.3 billion in assets and serves members in San Francisco and San Mateo County.

“This merger allows us to further enhance the delivery of our services to our members in the greater San Mateo County area,” said Jonathan Oliver, president & CEO of San Francisco FCU.

Glenn Christensen of CEO Advisory Group assisted in the merger.
