More Than 80 Vizo Financial Employees Volunteered Their Time, Efforts This Week

GREENSBORO, N.C.– More than 80 employees of Vizo Financial Corporate Credit Union volunteered their time and efforts at various charities and organizations throughout Central Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh, Greensboro, N.C., and Columbia, S.C. on its annual day of service, Oct. 10.

In total, 83 Vizo Financial staff members participated in this special day and lent a helping hand with assembling care kits for children, landscaping, organizing and packaging food donations, preparing meals for the underserved, clearing storage areas, collecting trash and more, according to Vizo Financial.

Back in Person

“For the first time since 2019, we were able to hold our Day of Service in the manner we intended – in person, putting in physical, hands-on volunteer hours to make a difference for some truly incredible organizations in our communities,” said David Brehmer, Vizo Financial’s president and CEO. “It felt so good to be able to gather again and provide services for those in need. This is what credit union concern for community is all about, and it’s an all-around rewarding experience.”

Added Erin Doan, DEI director for Vizo, “There’s almost no way to describe the sense of compassion and gratification that our Day of Service brings, not only to our employees, but also to the organizations and the people we are working to help. As credit unions, our communities mean the world to us, and the Day of Service is just one way to further our mission of people helping people.”
