SALT LAKE CITY–More than 400 credit unions went casual this year as part of the annual Credit Unions for Kids Miracle Jeans Day event in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Credit union employees donated $5 each for the opportunity to wear jeans to work mid-week. Proceeds will be donated to the credit union’s local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, CMN said.
The participation this year is an increase over 2016, when 300 credit unions participated.
“This has been a record year for the program,” said Joe Dearborn, senior director of Credit Unions for Kids, “We are still receiving donations, but with more credit unions participating than ever before, we’re expecting to be able to help even more kids than we’ve been able to in previous years.”
