More Than 100 Volunteer At Convention Leave-Behind Project In Ohio

CLEVELAND–More than 100 volunteers yesterday participated in creating the “leave behind” project being championed by credit unions in conjunction with the Republican National Convention, which will take place later this year.

Representatives of CUNA, Ohio’s credit unions and the Republican Party came together to help build a Horticultural Therapy Suite at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital Available year-round, the Horticultural Therapy Suite will be a respite for patients.

Credit unions have helped to raise $325,000 to fund the project.

Pennsylvania credit unions are funding a similar project at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, site of the 2016 Democratic National Convention.
