More Leagues Sign On With CU Social Good

BISMARCK, N.D.—CU Social Good, a venture of the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas here, reported that four other leagues have signed on with the program.

Joining CU Social Good are the Montana Credit Union Network, the Tennessee Credit Union League, the Kentucky Credit Union League and the Cooperative Credit Union Association (which represents Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire).

Launched by the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas in 2013, CU Social Good is the first web platform that exclusively collects the stories of the good things credit unions are doing in their communities, including charitable donations, volunteer work, scholarships, and financial literacy efforts.

“With the re-vamped and expanded platform in 2014, credit unions can now include story data that represents the financial impact as well as the number of hours donated to their cause – putting real numbers to the story,” CUAD said on its website.

“CU Social Good is an extremely easy and effective tool for credit unions to not only share a snapshot of their community involvement, but also to promote the overall effect credit unions are having in their state and on the national level,” said Corey Prince, VP of innovation and relationships at CUAD. “Now with the addition of collecting the data, we have a customized ‘Social Impact Report’ available via subscription for individual credit unions. In addition, statewide reports will be provided to those states with whom we have partnered. We are looking forward to building relationships with the credit unions in those states as well as with credit unions across the country,” he added.  To date, nearly 3,000 stories of credit unions making a difference have already been posted on CU Social Good!”
