EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.—Two more companies are reporting data breaches—and for one of them it’s the second such occurrence.
Supervalu, a supermarket chain, said at least four of its Cub Foods Stores may have been compromised, affecting payment cards that were used at its checkout lanes. Meanwhile, AB Acquisition, which operates five supermarket brands previously owned by Supervalu, said it has found malware that may have impacted payment card information at various stores in 21 states, according to DataBreachToday.com.
Earlier Supervalu had reported that as many as 180 of its stores may have had data breaches. The AB Acquisition stores that may have suffered breaches include Albertsons, ACME Markets, Jewel-Osco, Shaw's and Star Markets stores in 21 states.
