FORT WORTH, Texas—American Airlines FCU has paid a bonus dividend of $12.7 million to qualified members.
"Giving back to our member-owners is one of the primary benefits of credit union membership," said Angie Owens, president and CEO of American Airlines FCU, in a released statement. "We're happy to once again reward our members for their loyalty and product diversity while demonstrating our continued strength, efficient business practices and sound lending decisions."
The $5.6-billion CU has approximately 250,000 members, and paid the bonus based on qualifying share accounts and/or interest paid on applicable loans through Nov. 30.
Meanwhile, in Texas City, Texas, the $652-million AMOCO FCU paid a $1-million bonus dividend. The bonus awarded a 5% bonus on dividends earned on deposits and/or interest paid on loans for accounts in good standing. The payout is the 19th consecutive year AFCU has rewarded members with the bonus.
