JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.–River Region Credit Union here plans to build community center for members and others to use on the site of a former restaurant.
Set to open in Jefferson City's Old Munichburg area, the 3,000-square-foot community center will be located on the site of the former Zesto drive-in restaurant.
The $220-million River Region hopes the center will be used for weddings and other community gatherings, according to the News Tribune.
"It's very exciting considering the high visibility of that location," CEO Richard Nichols told the publication. "The intent is to support the community that our members live in and give something that is greatly needed by the community. We're putting some of their money to use."
