Mississippi, Pennsylvania CU Associations Announce Board Election Results

BILOXI, Miss.–State CU associations in Mississippi and Pennsylvania have announced the results of their board elections.

During its annual meeting here, the Mississippi Credit Union Association announced the results of its board elections.

According to the MSCUA, two MSCUA directors were re-elected to a three-year term: Katie Nelson of Eagle Express FCU in Jackson, and Raymond Scott of Southern Mississippi FCU in Hattiesburg.

Two MSCUA directors were elected to a three-year term: Rebecca Cooper, 1st Mississippi FCU in Meridian and Alison Lynd of Southern Coastal FCU in Biloxi.

Board officers elected include: Chairman, James B. Smith, Jr. of Singing River FCU in Moss Point; Vice Chairman, Billy Bridges of Mutual Credit Union in Vicksburg; Treasurer, Ray Scott of Southern Mississippi FCU in Hattiesburg; and Past Chairman, John Gibbons of Triangle FCU in Columbus.

Other board members include Betty Barrett of Magnolia FCU in Jackson; Sheila Bridges of CommFirst FCU in Jackson; Rebecca Cooper of  1st Mississippi FCU in Meridian; Elmer Dickens of Gulf Coast Community FCU in Gulfport; Chris Hammond of Central Sunbelt FCU in Laurel; Alison Lynd of Southern Coastal FCU in Biloxi; Brig Gen Richard Moss (Ret) of Keesler FCU in Biloxi, and Katie Nelson of Eagle Express FCU in Jackson.

The Mississippi CU Association serves 76 CUs serving more than 700,000 members. 

PCUA Election Results

Meanwhile, in Harrisburg, Penn., the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association and PCUA Solutions have announced the results of board elections.

Jeff DeBree, CEO of Penn East FCU, was voted to a second one-year term as chairman, while Rick Stipa, CEO of TruMark Financial Credit Union, was voted as vice chairman for one more year. New directors Traci Donahue, CEO of Cross Valley FCU, and Pamala Mohn, CEO of Blue Chip FCU, were welcomed to the board. Outgoing directors Paul Wagner, CEO of Hershey FCU, and Bill Wehr, First Choice FCU, were recognized for their service.

The PCUA reported the board received and approved the 2017 Audit Report which had a clean opinion for both PCUA and PCUA Solutions. The board also approved Foundation board members Margaret Delmonico, public relations director at PSECU, and Renee Lucas, vice president of operations at Clearview FCU, for a second three-year term. With Wehr retiring from the Association Board, Jay Reed, CIO at Service 1st FCU, was appointed to fill his seat on the Foundation Board of Directors by PCUA Chairman of the Board DeBree.
