Minnesota Foundation Announces Election Results Following Reorganization

ST. PAUL, Minn.–The Minnesota Credit Union Foundation has announced results of its board elections, following its reorganization meeting.

Doug Ralston of Centricity Credit Union and Glen Durbahn of Hiway Credit Union were both re-elected for three-year terms. Kim Westphal of HomeTown Credit Union was also elected to her first three-year term to fill Kathy Harrington’s seat.  After serving nine years, Kathy Harrington has termed off the Foundation board per the bylaws, the MnCUN said. She was recognized at the meeting for both her dedicated service and her time as chair.

“Kathy’s steadfast leadership, particularly through the challenges of the pandemic, ensured that the Foundation could help credit unions prosper and thrive,” said Mark Cummins, president & CEO of the Minnesota Credit Union Network and president of the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation. “I thank Kathy for her service to the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation and the credit union movement.”

At the re-organization meeting, the following Foundation Board members were elected to table officer positions.

  • Dana Garrett, North Memorial Federal Credit Union: chair
  • Doug Hallstrom, Minnco Credit Union: vice chair
  • Doug Ralston, Centricity Credit Union: secretary/Treasurer

The MnCUN said the Foundation Board regularly meets six times per year to further its commitment to providing the resources for credit unions and communities to prosper and thrive.
