PUEBLO, Colo.–Minnequa Works Credit Union has named a new president and CEO.
The $231.8-million Minnequa Works CU said it has selected Nathan Cape to lead the organization. Cape most recently served as president of operations for Minnequa Works, where MWCU said he supported strategic development while ensuring overall financial stability, regulatory adherence, and membership growth.
“It is an honor to be named the next president and CEO of Minnequa Works Credit Union,” said Cape. “I am grateful for the confidence the board of directors has placed in me to lead the credit union and am honored to work alongside an incredible team in continuing to make a positive impact in our community.”
Cape is a Pueblo, Colo., native, a proud husband and father, and is a first-generation college graduate, earning his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Northern Colorado and an MBA from Colorado State University, the credit union said.
Before joining Minnequa Works Credit Union, for more than a decade Cape held various leadership positions in the CU and financial services industry, the credit union added.
Moving to Next Chapter
“Nathan is the CEO that will move us into the next chapter of our credit union and we are excited to see what the future will hold alongside his leadership,” said Chairman Greg Smith, chairman. “The board is impressed with his outstanding leadership and vision for the future for the credit union and we look forward to many successful years ahead as he focuses on commitment to community and commitment to the members of Minnequa Works.”
Minnequa Works Credit Union, founded in 1937, has more than 12,000 members.
