PUEBLO, Colo.–To mark its 80th anniversary, Minnequa Works Credit Union is paying out $500,000 in loyalty dividends.
The $177-million credit union said that each active member in good standing as of Dec. 31, 2016 will receive an amount based on the total financial business done with the credit union last year. Qualifying members will receive no less than $20 with the money automatically deposited into their accounts, the credit union said.
“Many of our members have had their membership passed down to them from their grandparents and parents. In a close community such as Pueblo, being an organization that is well-trusted by the locals is very important,” said CEO Jim Barber. “We are grateful that our members have chosen us and we recognize that our members are the reason we have come this far.”
MWCU has 16,000 members.
