HENDERSON, Nev.—Need to convert cash into bitcoins? Head to the Mike Tyson Bitcoin ATM.
Bitcoin Direct plans to unveil the ATMs in Las Vegas sometime in August, according to a report from Benzinga, which also stated the cryptocurrency company is looking to change its image by making the former heavyweight boxing champion its representative.
Tyson recently announced on Twitter his plans to support a bitcoin ATM.
The ATM is pitched as a fast way to change dollars into bitcoins, using the tagline: "Mike Tyson's fastest knock out in the ring was 30 seconds. The Mike Tyson Bitcoin ATM can turn your cash into bitcoin in under 20 seconds," reported Benzinga.
Bitcoin Direct said the software will have Tyson's branding and will feature the boxer's image. The company said it is hoping the ATMs will draw Tyson's fan base into using bitcoins, Benzinga reported.
