DETROIT—Michigan First Mortgage, a unit of Michigan First Credit Union, has launched a new website that seeks to guide both first-time and experienced homebuyers through the mortgage and refinancing processes.
The site, at www.michiganfirstmortgage.com, includes what the credit union called a “bold new look” and features responsive design for optimal viewing on mobile devices. It aims to make the home buying experience a positive and pleasant one for consumers, according to the credit union. The website was created by Media Genesis, Troy, Mich.
The www.michiganfirstmortgage.com website highlights the number of different financing options available and offers free online tools, including mortgage and financing calculators, printable checklists and informative videos to improve the home buying experience.
"We know that consumers go online to do preliminary research. That's why we invested in redesigning our online presence," explains Brian Seibert, president of Michigan First Mortgage. We wanted to show consumers how warm and welcoming we are. Michigan First Mortgage is here to guide them step-by-step through the process with honesty, integrity and competence."
The site also includes a blog that discusses the most common questions and concerns of home buyers, from the "do's and don'ts" of home equity loans to affordable ways to improve a home's curb appeal.
Michigan First Mortgage was formed in 2014 through a partnership between Michigan First Credit Union and Watson Group Financial.
