LATHRUP VILLAGE, Mich.–The $780-million Michigan First Credit Union has signed a corporate sponsorship deal to become the first “Cornerstone Partner” at the $627.5-million Little Caesars Arena under construction in Detroit.
The deal includes naming rights to the unique rafters-level gondola seating above the ice that is for fans and media attending Detroit Red Wings games or other events.
"The gondola seating is such a unique way to experience an event or game, and it's just captivating," Olympia Entertainment President and CEO Tom Wilson said in a statement. "You're literally suspended above the game."
Financial terms of the deal between the credit union and Olympia Entertainment, which handles business operations for the Red Wings, were not disclosed.
Other aspects of the deal include sponsorship of the 50/50 raffle at Red Wings home games that benefits the Detroit Red Wings Foundation and Little Caesars youth hockey programs, and presenting sponsorship of Red Wings College Nights.
