WAILUKU, Hawaii—The $469-million Maui County Federal Credit Union has named Michele Kawahara president and CEO, effective Sept. 1, Maui News reported.
Kawahara will succeed Gary Fukuroku, who will retire Aug. 31 after leading the organization for more than three decades.
Kawahara has served as the credit union’s vice president for the past five years, playing a key role in strategic planning, operational growth and strengthening community partnerships.
Prior to joining the credit union, she served as CEO of West Maui Community Federal Credit Union for nearly 14 years, Maui News said.
