LIBERTY LAKE, Wash.–CU*NorthWest, a data processing CUSO, has recognized Metrum Community CU as the 2018 “Spirit of CU*NorthWest Award” winner.
The credit union received the award for very actively collaborating to enhance CU*BASE tools, the CUSO said. “At time of conversion their team was energized and enthusiastically embraced all the new features, functionality and efficiencies of their new core software,” according to CU*Northwest.
“The recognition of this award solidifies our decision to convert to CU*NorthWest and the CU*BASE tools,” said Steve Kelly, president and CEO of Metrum Community Credit Union. “Our team recognized the product offerings of CU*BASE that would allow us to better serve our membership and data mine our relationships, giving us the ability to better understand our members’ needs. Our staff, in conjunction with our partner, CU*NorthWest, completed implementation after implementation (Drive It) rolling out several internal and external offerings. The cooperative spirit is alive at both of our organizations.”
The Centennial, Colorado-based CU has been a CU*NorthWest partner/client since February 2016. The $71-million MCCU serves approximately 5,225 members.
Introduced in 2011, the Spirit of CU*NorthWest Award is presented at the annual Leadership Conference, according to CU*Northwest.
“This award lets us recognize a client for excellence that exemplifies the following, our Leadership Conference theme for the year, an especially strong and vital volunteer program, demonstrates the principle of being all about the member, an innovative example of collaboration and cooperation (the highest collaborative score), has started a business in the network, shows strong execution and performance (especially in the face of adversity or despite overcoming a significant challenge), a newly converted CU that hit the ground running with adoption of CU*BASE tools (or an existing CU that has plunged into the tools in a new way), started a new initiative that really demonstrates the credit union spirit, moves the industry in a positive direction, or that is inspirational to other CUs,” CU*Northwest said.
